Walls So Good You Won't Want To Paint Them

This was one of my favourite projects to date, originally I was only there to complete one room, but the customer liked my work so much, that he insisted I complete his whole house after he was left with a bumpy wall from the orevious plaster. I sorted that out all the same. From every ceiling to every wall, I removed the old lavan plaster and where required I replaced with stud walls, plasterboard and plaster. Other walls needed rendering, then direct plastering, the GYM, to the Kitchen, it all got done. Removing old 1930 ceilings was very dusty but the end result was worth it. My client now has what he visaged, a traditional external looking house with a modern open planned twist inside.

EMERGENCY WORK

For this particular project, I had to work quickly to get the room safe as it was the Kids Bedroom. The plumber who installed the pipework upstairs had left one of the the flow and return pipes not capped off, resulting is serious damage. It was critical to the family that the work was done straight away and in situations like this, I make special arrangements where I am able to come to the site and fix the problem, even if it means working through the night. I was called out to prevent the whole ceiling collapsing. These old style lath plaster are heavy. As a result I removed the old lath plaster ceiling at the request of the client and put new plasterboard up, bonded it, then skimmed it. The job went on into the night but it was painted just a couple of days later. The client was very happy, and I also have total Job satisfaction. I prevented any plaster falling taking down potentially causing injury to the family. I take emergencies very serious and specialise in quick turn arounds when required.  I always carry onboard plasterboard, bonding, and plaster mix for such an event.
